Nicolette
Nicolette was a loving, smart, funny girl who loved everyone at the rescue and whom everyone loved. She was the dog that any of the volunteers could walk and anyone who knew her at the rescue knew how special she was. Nicki would have died years ago were it not for Adrienne's loving diligence in keeping her safe and alive. Nicki loved her bed and her toys and her special treats. She tried her very best to charm everyone into giving her as many treats as she would wag her pretty tail for and she succeeded in getting along with everyone and anyone. She had the cutest little Beagle howl and was happy just to be with you or in the security of her crate in the kitchen at the rescue. Nicki had her four-legged buddies, her cronies, at the rescue and would run outside with them in the yard as the senior leader of the pack. She was the senior, the veteran, the strong and quiet little fighter, the Queen and benevolent ruler of the rescue. We will miss you, sweet Nicolette, and we know that you are at peace now and forever.

Max
Max walked out of the woods and into our hearts on August 9, 1999, while we were on a family bike ride. For eight years we were lucky enough to share our lives with a really special kitty. He wasn't just beautiful, but a true character. Max passed away the morning of August 27, 2007, after a sudden and brief illness. That evening we rode our bikes to the place we first saw him. The full moon was rising over the trees, and we knew Max was at peace. We will always be grateful that fate led him to us. We love you Max. Your family, Robyn, Jeff, & Alex (Callisto & Quasar, too)

Yoshi
On May 23, 2007 we lost our beloved Yoshi. An original stray who ended up in a shelter she gave so much. Despite having glaucoma and losing her vision, Yoshi gave her self to humanity. She would get all excited when I asked her if she was ready to "go see your friends" meaning it's time to visit our friends in the nursing home. She was a demo dog for people interested in doing pet therapy. Loving, gentle and kind. A special gift that will be missed by all who knew her.

Ranger
Ranger was a magnificent dog--full of grace, intelligence and beauty. He was very loving to those that knew him and was happy to spend time at the rescue outside in his large pen. His fur gently blowing in the wind, and his eyes glissening brown. Ranger would have been gone long ago and his time at the rescue gave him years that he never would have had. Ranger came a long way from mistrusting people, to walking beside them...happily down the long driveway at the rescue. He loved to play rope tug and could run like the wind in the agility exercise pen at the rescue. He was young and beautiful and we will all miss him very, very much. Rest in peace, beauty... we still love you every day.

Jack Man
On May 21st. Jack Russell, affectionatly called Jack Man, crossed the rainbow bridge to join the others that have gone before. Jack had a hard start in life, and was terrified before Adrienne adopted him. He gained confidence with training and guidance and became a beloved companion. Jack man, we will miss you.
