Harlee
Her life was short, but she lived, loved and played hard. She was loved by all who met her and all who shared their life with her. Rest in peace my friend. We tried for you.

Humphrey
We have raised four children, who now have children of their own. 12 wonderful grandchildren. For almost 7 years we took care of my Mom, who had Alzheimers Disease. All that time we had pets. A little over a year ago we had to say good-bye to our 19 yr. old pet, Boogaloo. I thought that I would never want another pet. It just hurts so much when they are gone. My children kept telling me that I should get another pet because I love them so much. Well I listened to them. I went on line and found Wag On Inn Rescue. Looking through the pictures of the many pets that needed a home, I saw Humphrey's picture. I read his description. He just sounded perfect! I filled out the application, and shortly after Jody contacted me. She was so very helpful in getting all the information that was needed for us to adopt Humphrey. Then I was told that Kathy, Humphrey's foster Mom would set up a meeting. I couldn't wait. The first time I saw him, Kathy was with my husband bringing him to our home. It was love at first sight. His little over bite made him looked like he was smiling. He was so gentle, and friendly. My daughter, Marge, and her children were here to meet Humphrey too. He laid on his back so that my grandson could rub his tummy. Kathy said, that he would need a re-check by his doctors, and if everything was ok, he was ours. Kathy has been amazing, I know how full her days are. She was always there if I needed to ask a question. Kathy is so dedicated. Humphrey was finally ours in February. He was everything that we wanted. He was only in his crate for about a week, then he slept anywhere he wanted, he was so well behaved. When I got up in the morning he would greet me with a wagging tail and that wonderful smile. He loved meeting new people and other furry friends. He even made friends with a Beagle that doesn't particularly make friends. I think Humphrey's calm disposition had something to do with that. He loved to sit by my Husband's feet while he was on the computer. I would here my Husband talking to him like he was talking with one of his buddies. After Humphrey's first grooming, he looked so handsome. He stood there, I knew he was very proud of the way he looked. Kate, his groomer said, that she wished all of her clients behaved as well as Humphrey. At night I would sit on the floor and brush him, I enjoyed that almost as much as he did. When we first adopted our Humphrey, we knew that he had dry eye and a heart murmur. On one visit to our Vet. a lump was discovered, it tested positive for Lymphoma. On the adoption site it states that these animals need love. Humphrey gave us more love and many happy memories than we could ask for. I know that there could never be another Humphrey Hanily, but in the future, if you find an other pet that might like us, please let us know. On the other side of the bridge to forever, our animal friends wait for us. Good-bye hurts so much. But someday we will think of our Humphrey with smiles instead of tears. It will feel as if his little soul has left a rainbow in our hearts. June 20, 2009 God Bless you, Ginny and Joe Hanily
