Max
Max walked out of the woods and into our hearts on August 9, 1999, while we were on a family bike ride. For eight years we were lucky enough to share our lives with a really special kitty. He wasn't just beautiful, but a true character. Max passed away the morning of August 27, 2007, after a sudden and brief illness. That evening we rode our bikes to the place we first saw him. The full moon was rising over the trees, and we knew Max was at peace. We will always be grateful that fate led him to us. We love you Max. Your family, Robyn, Jeff, & Alex (Callisto & Quasar, too)

Mickey
Mickey came into our lives last March. He was a ten year old beautiful ,white shih tzu /bichon mix who would light up the room. He was so cute, and ,we always joked how Mickey looked like a baby seal. He was a special little guy who was more like a puppy then the senior he was. Mischievous streak? You bet. He'd gather all the soft toys and hide them behind the couch so our other dog, Molly, couldn't get to them. Sweet? You would be hard pressed to find a dog sweeter than our Mickey. He stayed by your side and was always game for a snuggle and a belly rub. Mickey was very well behaved, He loved to go for walks and really loved his blue ball that his foster mom, Lauren, gave him. Mickey was pretty much up for anything at anytime! His energy was endless. Even though we only had him for less than a year, Mickey was a loved part of our family from the moment he stepped through our door. There was no adjustment period. He fit right in and stole our hearts. Mickey's illness was sudden and heartbreaking. We lost him on December 31, 2010. We feel blessed that this little guy was a part of our lives, although wish we had more time with him. We are grateful that we were given the privilege of adopting Mickey and hope he knew just how much we adored him.---The Giglio Family

Midnight
Sadly, Midnight the beautiful, green eyed dainty feral cat has been missing now for three weeks. It is not likely that she is alive because if she were, she would be at the food bowl the way she has been for the past 4 1/2 years. She used to jump for joy when I would arrive with her daily meal of wet and dry food. She would give out a little meow, so soft and delicate. She was very, very smart and was the last female to be trapped in the woods by me to be spayed and vaccinated and then released into her outdoor home. Midnight had two buddies for the past 4 1/2 years, her strong young friends, Butterscotch and Grand Daddy. It is likely that Midnight was one of the first litters of Claudia Ann Davis, Jody's feral cat, and was just not found soon enough by Ann and me to be as suited for an indoor home. A barn would have been lovely, as it would be for all the ferals, once spayed/neutered/vaccinated. Midnight used to hide in the bushes and then pop out to say hello when she heard me coming with the food. She would stay very close to her outdoor home and food bowl and that is why it is likely that she has passed away. The last week of her life, she was not eating at the food bowl but would go to it anyway, sit there with her friends and say hello to me. I knew something was wrong when she would not eat, tried to help her, but to no avail. Then, three Thursdays ago, she disappeared... I kept searching for her body but could not find her. Now, deserving of being mentioned... I have decided to post her on the Rainbow Bridge--so others hear of the plight of the ferals. They are all so deserving of forever homes but if others can at least spay, neuter, and then keep feeding them, they will have a chance at life and a chance to be loved. Midnight had such a chance and was very well loved by Ann and me. I miss her bright green eyes, her delicate face, her silky black fur, and wonder and worry everyday what became of her. I hope she is at peace and did not suffer long. Now, may she rest in peace...under the stars. Jody Davis
