I wanted to let you know that sadly Teddy passed away last night. My Dad called me at 12:30 A.M. to tell me that he was acting "funny" (lost bowel control and was laying on the floor and didn't want to get up). While we were on the phone, as my Dad was petting him, he passed away. Needless to say, my father has lost what we all consider a "best friend". I was on the phone last night with emergency vets at 1:00 AM because we weren't sure what to do (I am an hour away from my Dad and Dave was spending the night at Courtney's dog sitting). They assured us that we could wait until morning so I am headed there now so we can have him cremated. Thanks for opening your arms and hearts and souls to this wonderful dog who would have otherwise "met his maker" a lot sooner than August 16, 2009. Rest assured that he lived an incredibly comfortable and happy life with my Mom and Dad and then just with my Dad. My Dad is truly heartbroken and did break down on the phone last night. I have to run because the hospital opens at 9:30 AM. Dave and I will get a photo and be purchasing a full page ad in the Halloween Parade booklet in memory of this loyal, loving member of our family.
