Chico (aka: cheek the beak)
Chico was an adorable, expressive, sensitive, smart little chihuahua that was adored by all volunteers at the rescue. He went everywhere with Adrienne and was as comfortable waiting in the van as he was just cuddling in his bed. People loved to meet him at the outreaches and, due to his age and medical problems, he became a permanent resident and senior statesman of the rescue. Chico was precious and playful at our first annual Halloween dog parade this year and spoke the last words of the day..." Thank you one and all for coming and for showing your caring support for all the dogs and cats who need homes and who rely on wag on inn rescue and all the other shelters and rescues that provide safe refuge and hopes for forever homes. We also want to thank all the businesses, adults, teens and children that came to help out and support the cause. Happy Halloween!" Now, we want to thank Chico, for just being who he was to all of us in the 1 1/2 years that he shared with us at the rescue. Thank you, Chico, for lighting up the room whenever you were around. Thank you for putting a smile on big and little faces. Thank you for that strong little bark that made one think you were not just a tiny little guy. Thank you for your sweetness and thank you for the love you gave to all of us. Rest in peace, sweet little heart.

Claudia
In loving memory of Claudia Ann Davis Claudia was a very beautiful, smart, shy cat that lived with us for three years and died an untimely death on February 18, 2007. She was a feral cat who took very good care of her kittens in the wild. Claudia was a loving mother to her kittens: Twix,Blue and Sapphire and a wonderful aunt to Twinkie. Twinkie made her feel safe and welcome. She also took great care of Boo Boo and made the entire cat family completed. Claudia was a feral cat that was very happy in her little world. She loved when we would come into the room and did a little jump for joy and had a sweet smile on her face. Her purr was so loud that you could hear her from across the room and took as much pleasure in our family of kittens being petted, even when no one could even touch her. After three patient years, we had just started to pet her entire body and adorable face. She took great pleasure in those loving moments and purred in thanks. Claudia was just starting to be more relaxed and was very happy when she suffered a fatal accident in our home. She died instantly and without pain. We are all grateful for her life and for a quick and merciful death. She deserved more but we gave her all that we could. We miss her every day and still have trouble counting five bowls of wet food instead of six. Rest in peace, our "Claudie Girl." We will see you beyond the rainbow bridge. Jody and Ken Davis and Family
