Hershey is an 8-month-old Chocolate Lab/Hound mix who came to us from an over-crowded shelter in North Carolina.

Hershey weighs 35 lbs; we would expect him to end up weighing about 50 lbs.  

Hershey is a really great pup. He is living with dogs and cats in his foster home and is fine, but he did go to a possible adoptive home and he was chasing the cat there.  So it depends on the cat whether it would work for Hershey.

Hershey is beautiful in person and is a real sweetheart.

In North Carolina, Hershey demonstrated that he has a fantastic temperament. He went into a foster home for a couple of days, in the hopes of being trained to be a service dog for an autistic child. He was already doing a great job with the child, but the landlord wouldn't let him stay. 

Hershey's adoption fee is $400.
