Laney came to us from North Carolina. She is 3 years old, and has the black-and-tan coloring of a Rottie or Dobie or a Black and Tan Coonhound. Someone must have thought she had Rottie in her; they docked her tail! 

Laney is a great dog.  She has lived with other dog. She's been cat-tested at the shelter and couldn't be bothered with them. She has met lots of kids at outreaches and is very sweet with them. (You can see her with kids in the video below).

Her foster mom in NC says: "Laney is a very sweet big (50+ lbs) girl. She follows us around, curls up beside us on the sofa, and climbs into our laps (yes, she's a bit spoiled!).

Laney is crate-trained, and seems to be housetrained.  She is a pretty laid-back dog, but enjoys a long walk once in a while. And we did see a video of her jumping over a baby gate! Her foster mom told her to sit, and then to jump, and she cleared it! So we know she's agile... maybe agility classes are in her future?

Laney loves to get attention, and she is pushy with the submissive dog in her foster home for laps and spots on the couch. 

Laney is up-to-date with her vaccines. She completed her heartworm treatment when she was in NC.

Laney's adoption fee is $350.
