Cassiopeia is 2 years old and weighs 18 lbs. She looks like a wire-haired terrier mix. Cassie is lovely! She initially is a little timid when meeting people, but once she warms up she will give lots of sweet kisses! She's a very sweet girl and always wants to be your shadow. Cassie loves to sit in your lap, even when you're working on the computer! She prefers to snuggle in bed with her humans at night, but she has learned to sleep next to the bed in one of her foster homes.
Cassie gets along nicely with other dogs in her foster home.
Cassie was in foster for a week in a home without other dogs, and she was not at all happy. She showed signs of separation anxiety (e.g., crying in her crate), and lost her housetraining skills when she was without canine company. As a result, we will only consider homes with another dog (or more than one!).
Cassie would prefer a home where the humans are around much of the time. She enjoys going for walks; she's great on-leash and sticks right by you.
Cassie isn't completely housetrained, but if you get her out regularly (and stay with her to ensure that she potties), then she does very well. Cassie learned the doggie door in her foster home.
Cassie is up-to-date on her vaccines and tested negative for heartworm and other parasites.
