Charlie is a 7-year-old purebred Rat Terrier whose family had a new baby and decided not to keep him. They turned him in to a shelter in North Carolina, where the staff realized that he was a wonderful dog who needed a second chance.
Charlie is simply lovely. He is a big snuggler, and likes everyone. He spends parties taking turns snuggling against anyone who sits on the couch!
Charlie may be 7 years old, but he is an active boy who loves to play. His favorite game is tug, but he also plays a good game of fetch. If you have 2 balls, he will drop the 1st ball at your feet and go for the 2nd. If you only have 1 ball, then you'll have to play some tug! When he tugs, he is very vocal - grrrr.... - but he is only playing!
Charlie loves to run, and he is very fast. He enjoys going for walks.
Charlie is completely housetrained - he's such a good boy. In his foster home, he happily sleeps in bed at night with everyone, curled up tight against his foster parents.
Charlie enjoys rides in the car - he especially loves to go to the beach!
We've been told that Charlie will chase cats, but there are none in his foster home, so we can't test that out.
We have Charlie's original paperwork, just in case you feel a need to know who his parents were! :-)
Charlie's adoption fee is $300.
