Nelson looks like a Lab/ Chow mix. He has lovely soft fur and some purple spots on his tongue. He came to us from an over-crowded shelter in North Carolina.

Poor Nelson came from a home where he wasn't treated well, but his personality is simply awesome! His foster family says they already love him. Nelson was obviously starved for attention, because he simply melts when you show him love and affection.

He weighs about 38 lbs, but his foster mom is trying to fatten im up a little.

Nelson's foster mom says that he is:
- sweet & affectionate
- friendly
- handsome
- good with dogs and kids
- housetrained!
- a cuddler

He has wonderful manners, is very submissive, walks well on leash, and knows "sit".

He has a fairly low energy level, particularly for a youngster.

Nelson was traiend to sleep on the floor in a dog bed, not in the human bed. He can go for 12 hours at night without going to the bathroom!

Nelson is a little anxious getting into the car or into the crate, but once you help him in, he is fine.

He can get growly over his food with other animals, so his foster family feeds him separately for now.
