Hello world. I'm like a lucky clover. Things just keep getting better for me. I was found as a stray with a chain link fence wire and electric cord wrapped around my neck. Can you believe that? That's what my people considered a collar. Well, I ended up at a shelter with my puppy, and they promptly got rid of that horrid "collar" and arranged for me to come to New Jersey in my search for a family.
I'm a solid, sturdy girl who is playful and loves attention. I like A LOT of attention! I listen to my foster mom and come running lickity split as soon as I hear her call. I'm nervous around other dogs at first, but I warm up and then I LOVE to play with other dogs. I can be a little aggressive over my food -- so if I live with other dogs I'll have to be fed separately. I just am afraid that I won't get enough food again...
I'd do better with an experienced dog owner since I can get bossy sometimes! I'm a typical terrier.
The only thing that makes me not perfect is only temporary - I have heartworms. The rescue is treating me for that and then I'll be all good.
Are you looking for the most perfect small dog in the world to be your moon and your stars? If so, hurry up to www.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org and under website features click on forms/applications to fill out an adoption application. You can be my foster parent until I'm done with my heartworm treatment, so you can test drive how great I am!
