Zoe is Border Collie- Lab Mix, about 2 years old. She is just 35 lbs — a perfect size. She was rescued from St. Bernard Parish Animal Shelter in Chalmette, Louisiana — a city still devastated from Hurricane Katrina. The shelter is very overcrowded and because Zoe needed treatment for a flea allergy (she had been lost and roaming for quite a while and had lost a lot of hair due to flea bites) — it was requested that she be transported to NJ for fostering to find her forever home. Zoe's hair has grown in and she is a beautiful girl with a lot of personality. Zoe is gentle and very affectionate - she has an angelic face and soulful brown eyes — which couldn't be resisted by her foster mom who volunteers at the shelter and flew her out of New Orleans. While she likes to be near her foster mom (she will try wriggle her way into her lap, one paw at a time), she also loves to be outside — she needs a securely fenced yard because she does love to chase squirrels. She is housebroken, crate trained, loves to eat and rides well in the car. She would be the perfect companion for a single, a couple, or family. Zoe is up to date on her immunizations and has been spayed.

Zoe's adopti0n fee is $260.00 - the cost of her airline transport to be reimbursed to the Friends of St. Bernard Parish Animal Shelter (a non profit organization). For more information on Zoe and application information, contact dfanurik@peoplepc.com
