Phil was adopted as a puppy, and now do to a change in the living situation of his caretaker, she needs to find a suitable home for him.
Phil now weighs approximately 30-35 lbs. He is crate-trained and he is housebroken.
Phil’s behavior is energetic, enthusiastic and playful. He does not exhibit any aggressive behavior with people or other animals, but has exhibited a guarding posture when a person tries to recover food toys such as a rawhide. He is independent, yet affectionate and likes to curl up and rest in the evening. He has socialized successfully with a range of other dogs.
He would be best in a home that provided a lot of outdoor exercise. His energy level is high and he would not be happy in a restricted apartment environment.
Phil is a very healthy, intelligent, energetic and high-spirited puppy who will be very happy with an owner who can match his enthusiasm for play as well as provide discipline and obedience training. (He has responded well to initial training, including the commands, “sit,” “stay,” and “down.”) He will bring humor, joy and companionship to a loving owner.
