Jacko is a mushy lover-boy of a dog once he feels comfortable with you. He's still a little shy with new people, but it doesn't take him long to start asking for attention. He gives lots of kisses and loves to play. We love him!
He's a lively dog who loves to run and play with the other dogs - the size of the dog doesn't matter to him. He's learning fetch, too! Everything is a game to him - he's a typical youngster!
He's very smart, and has learned to use the doggie door in his foster home. Jacko enjoys going for walks. He's been very good in the house, and is crate-trained, although we haven't used a crate with him lately.
Jacko came to us from Puerto Rico to find his forever home. He was abandoned at a beach and was rescued by a very dedicated rescue that we work with. We have no idea what breeds his parents were - he's a low-rider dog who looks like a Shepherd with Jack Russell, Corgi, or Dachshund legs and feet. He's very cute!
Jacko is a little timid at first, but he got over his anxiety at the outreach we had this weekend at the Count Basie Theatre. He got lots of treats from lots of kids and adults, and did great. Once he settles in, he'll be more trusting right away. He has been giving lots of kisses in his foster home! He settles in pretty quickly.
