Garrett is a sweet, 5 year old Shiba Inu, neutered, male that suffers from focal seizures, a condition that is easily controlled with pheno barbital, which is very inexpensive. One would hardly even know that Garrett has any problem except for the occasional twitch from his mouth and tongue. Garrett was found wandering the streets of Yonkers, N.Y. where he was picked up by the local animal control, where he received wonderful care and attention. Unfortunately, the stress of the shelter was no place for a little guy like Garrett so a nice rescue invited him to stay with them until a forever family comes his way.
Garrett says:
"My foster mom is already in love with me and it has been only one day. Mom keeps saying I am one special little guy and if she did not have 8 shibas of her home I would be staying"
Garrett shows no aggression, seems to be good around other dogs and may also be good around cats. He would do well in a home with older children, age 12 and older, or a home with adults. He is sweet and very loving.
Please give Garrett a second chance at a forever home and contact his foster dad, Mitch at: Inurescue@gmail.com
Thank you!
