Hi! I'm Miley, a two-year-old
German Shorthaired Pointer. I was picked up as a stray in
Tennessee and brought to a local shelter and I was such a good girl that they knew I would make someone a fantastic dog, so they sent me north. So here I am, living with a foster family in New Jersey. I don't want to brag, or anything, but in the two weeks I've been with my foster family, I haven't had one single accident in the house. Not one! We did find out however it takes me a little while to get the whole moving thing understood. man I hate to move, so my new family will have to be patient and give me to adjust to my new home. I think I'd like a fenced in yard too, for both my potty time and to run and play and burn up my energy.
I'm on the small side for a GSP, about 33 pounds right now, and I'm also calmer than most. Don't get me wrong...there's nothing I like better than chasing rabbits and birds in my family's backyard, and playing with my foster sister, but once I come in, it would take a stick of dynamite to get me out of my favorite chair. (See above photos for proof...all taken from the comfort of my favorite chair.) I'm fantastic with other dogs, and understand I'm the low man on the
totem pole in my house. I love the dog park--my foster dad throws me a
tennis ball, and I take off and all the other dogs chase me and I'm in heaven. I'm also great with kids, and my family says (and, again, I hate to brag here, but...) I'm the sweetest dog in the whole wide world. They think I'd do best with a fenced-in yard (see earlier birds and rabbits comment) where I could do a little running around. If you think I sound like the dog for you, please apply to adopt me at:
