Meet Skylar – A Loyal German Shepherd Looking for a Loving Home! Skyler is here in NJ and looking for a foster or adopter asap!

Skylar is a stunning 7-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love. Sadly, her world changed when her owner passed away, and she now finds herself in a temporary situation that isn’t ideal for her or her extended family. Skylar was adopted as a puppy and spent her life in a loving home with her family, including teenagers. She’s house-trained, accustomed to a fenced yard with a doggie door, and has always been a well-mannered companion.

Skylar is a devoted, mellow girl who wants to be the queen of her castle—she thrives as the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention from her humans. While she’s not aggressive at all, she prefers a home without other dogs. She’s happiest when spending time with her people, enjoying a car ride (she just takes a moment to settle), or playing in the snow. She also loves to fetch balls and is always eager to please.

Skylar is a calm, loving companion in the home and walks well on a leash—though she can get excited when she sees other dogs, so its best to avoid them on a walk. She’s looking for a stable, loving family who can give her the forever home she deserves.
