Peter is an adorable boy who is looking for a home. Peter is now in a NJ foster home.

Peter, Paul and Mary were found "down yellow bayou" by one of the volunteers for our partner rescue so of course they took them in. These small pups were likely dumped. We think they are mixes of rat terrier, dachshund and maybe beagle. They are estimated to be 10-12 months old. They are dog friendly and kid friendly and we think they will do fine with cats but we are double checking. They are crate trained and almost housebroken.

Peter is fixed, up to date on vaccines. Peter tested positive for  heartworm and has begun treatment. We are looking for a foster to complete his treatment here in NJ with 2 visits to Barnegat Animal Clinic in mid March. His adoption fee will be $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
