Charleigh is a very cute girl who is looking for a home. She came to us from Louisiana, and is now in a NJ foster home.  We can't be sure of her breed(s) without DNA but she is 100% cute!

Charleigh is a very sweet little girl. She is very affectionate and playful once she gets to know you.  She likes laps and likes to be near you all the time. She can be a little timid and skittish with strangers.  Charleigh is especially nervous with young kids -- she will stay clear of them if she can, but when on leash she looks as if she's trying to herd them.  She did take treats from some neighborhood girls, though, so there is hope! We think she probably shouldn't live with young children, though.

Charleigh is small-dog friendly and tested well with cats. She doesn't seem to like large dogs when they come to visit -- she'll bark at them and charge them. If they stay long enough, she keeps her distance.

Charleigh is really enjoying playing with the other young dogs and puppies in her foster home.  There's lots of running around and playing chase!  She does like to hang out on the couch when she's tired, and she enjoys sleeping in bed with everyone.

She is probably not a city girl since she seems overwhelmed with lots of excitement.  We'll see if that changes as she settles in to her foster home.

Charleigh is almost housetrained; she has had a couple of accidents but mostly potties outside.  We do get the dogs out pretty often, though.

Charleigh is spayed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450. 

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
