Bruno is a handsome boy who is looking for a home. Bruno came to us from the NYC shelter system. Bruno was surrendered by a couple who said they took him from a homeless man who was out on the streets in the cold and he had no where to go and could no longer care for Bruno. 

Bruno was in poor shape when he got to the shelter. He was emaciated, had a wound on his leg and trouble walking. His x-ray came back normal (no fractures) and his leg wound was treated. Carprofen was given for his injury and/or arthritis which has really helped him feel better. Bruno is now happy and active! He loves going for walks! He is dog friendly and does well in a crate and in the car. His foster mom is working on housebreaking.

We are working on getting an appointment for Bruno so our vet can review his records and advise but we suspect he would do best on a low dose of carprofen daily at least until his leg is feeling better but maybe forever if he does have arthritis. We are also working on getting his neuter scheduled, once our vet confirms he is ready for it. Bruno is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee will  be $300. 

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
