Max is the sweetest dog - he is very eager to please, and he learns commands easily.  He is food motivated (yay!) and he is good with children (tho he has not had exposure to very young children). Max loves belly rubs, massages and petting. He is crate trained and housetrained. This smart boy knows his name and the commands: sit, wait, down, focus, and "with me." He knows these commands well inside, but outside is still a work in progress. 

 

Max likes to follow his human to see what they're up to. He absolutely loves other dogs and loves to play (sometimes incessantly). He may react to them on a leash, but we think its out of excitement to go meet them!   Max loves food activities - puzzles, snuggle mats, lick pads, frozen kongs, treat balls. He knows how to "wait" for his meals! What a good boy!   He likes bananas, peanut butter, carrots, yogurt and pumpkin. Not only can his human give him a bath in the tub easily, he loves to bathe in the sunshine on his bed.  With Max, he will be happy to see you in the morning.

 

Outside the home, he can be apprehensive about the outside world; because of this, he needs a gentle approach. He is timid with new experiences and things.   Max is a great dog who would thrive in a consistent home, and who love to greet you each morning with love. 

 

Max is fixed, UTD, and in a foster home in NJ. His adoption fee is $450.00
