Birdie is a beautiful girl who is in a foster home here in NJ. Birdie and her sister, Jersey Girl were surrendered to Wag On Inn Rescue so they could find their forever home. They are the result of an accidental litter. Their mom is an Australian Shepherd and dad is a pit bull terrier.

Birdie is a very sweet girl! She is nervous with new people and in new surroundings but she loves her foster mom and is doing well with the resident dogs. Birdie is beautiful! Her beautiful blue eye and splotches of merle on her coat - just stunning!  Birdie's foster is working on perfecting her housetraining and some training basics. Birdie is dog friendly and also lived with cats. She may be too nervous for little kids. She is crate trained. Birdie recently visited a doggie day care and decided it was too much for her. She much prefers a quieter environment and one or two dog friends.

Birdie received initial vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. She will be spayed and microchipped at the Spay-Neuter Clinic in Holmdel, NJ on March 11. Her adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
