Petey is a handsome boy who is looking for a home. Petey is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ on our next transport. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters.

Petey is a very timid boy who is very afraid of new human friends and needs someone who can help him to learn to trust. He wants so badly to get love but he is afraid. Petey loves other dogs and does best when there are one or more dogs around to help his confidence. Petey is a flight risk initially until he gets comfortable in his new home and his new family. Petey will take some work but we believe he is worth it! Watching a shy, timid dog learn to love and trust is an amazing process!

Petey is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He recently completed treatment for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
