Stevie is a sweet, beautiful girl who is looking for a home. Stevie is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ on our next transport. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters.

Stevie is described as shy but she warms up with affection. She is calm and has great manners. Stevie is currently in boarding which was done to save her life. She is shy with other dogs and seems to prefer the company of volunteers that come to care for her. Stevie was a stray who went to a very crowded, old shelter and then to boarding to spare her life. Her whole world turned upside down. When she first went to boarding she dug a hole to hide under the building. She may struggle with a new transition but we believe in Stevie and we know she deserves a second chance. She shouldn't be left outside by herself in her new home.

Stevie is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She completed treatment for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450. 

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
