Buttercup came to us as an owner surrender. She is almost one year old and weighs 13 lbs; she probably should weigh a couple pounds more.  She was purchased from a "breeder" as a Maltipoo. Buttercup is not a non-shedding dog; she has a cottony undercoat and is most likely NOT hypoallergenic.

Buttercup is a very sweet girl. She seems to have been loved in her previous home since she is very affiliative with people and became very attached quickly in her foster home. She is happy and energetic.  She has lived with a one year old and did fine.

Poor Buttercup arrived very matted.  She endured over 2 hours of grooming and nail clipping when she first came to us. She wasn't thrilled, and did a lot of flailing, but she never attempted to bite. That was very impressive. She was covered in mats and she doesn't look great right now, with her unprofessional grooming. She will get a real grooming once her spay scar heals.

Buttercup is learning to play with the other dogs in her foster home, and is really enjoying the puppies. She's starting to enjoying exploring the yard.  We don't think she ever was outside since she didn't have a collar(!)

Buttercup seems to enjoy going on neighborhood walks.

Buttercup is not yet housetrained. To train her, she is kept on leash in her foster home when indoors, and she sleeps in a crate in the bedroom nicely.  She'll figure it out.

Buttercup is young and very active, so is probably not best in a couch potato kind of home.

Buttercup's adoption fee is $400. She is spayed and microchipped, and is up-to-date on all her vaccines.
