Scooby is a true beauty!  Scooby is here in NJ and ready to find his forever home!

Scooby is a mixed breed dog. We think we see American Pit Bull Terrier, maybe a little Boxer, but we can't say for sure of course without a DNA test.

Scooby came from a life of neglect, but you would never know it by his personality. He is an absolute sweetheart and is very affectionate.  His favorite thing to do is snuggle and his foster has to remind him that sometimes we need personal space :)   He attaches quickly and loves his people.  

Scooby is energetic, playful and loves adventures. He enjoys playing ball, being outside, keeping busy with a stuffed kong or chewing on a bone. He is great with people of all ages- but does need reminding at times that he can't play with younger kids like dogs.  He's not aggressive in any way, just likes to play and we think he will learn as he gets a little older that kids aren't other dogs.  He does well with other dogs and loves playing with and snuggling with his foster siblings.  Scooby is eager to please, so while it's taken him a little time to learn commands, he tries hard and has nailed "sit" and "wait" (which are especially useful at feeding time as he is a dog who is super excited to eat!).  He is crate trained (and doesn't mind it despite having spent a large part of his young life in an outdoor crate) and his foster now gives him free roam of the house as he is not destructive.  He is doing well with housetraining and does pretty well on a leash also.

Scooby has been fixed, microchipped and he is up to date on vaccines. Scooby was treated for heartworm in December/January and is doing well now.  Scooby's adoption fee is $400.
