Hi... I am Lexi, the Southern Dachshund girl that is so very grateful to be alive. My luck changed suddenly... I was left in a house, with Duffy the Chihuahua mix, all alone. You see, the family that I lived with had to leave their home due to a foreclosure and forgot about us...how could they? We are so sweet and gentle? But that is all behind us now and we are looking for our forever homes...where people will be kind to us and never let this happen again. Let me tell you a little about myself...I am quiet, sweet, petite, and need to put some weight on before I go home. Yes, they left me there to starve and now I have to get a little stronger to be ready for my forever home. People here are kind to me already and I am enjoying being around people again. I also like the good food and water that I have now. I am very forgiving, considering what I went through. I will kiss you and tell you how grateful I am to be alive and well and living in New Jersey with my foster mom.
