Pamela (Pam Pam) is a very pretty pittie mix that is looking for her forever home. She arrived on transport from Louisiana on 4/30 and is currently in a foster home in NJ.

Pam is house trained, kennel trained and knows sit, walk and wait. She is allowed free roam of her foster home even when unsupervised as she is such a good girl and has never had an accident or been destructive in any way. She can sleep in her kennel all night without a peep but has currently been sleeping soundly on her pink fluffy dog bed overnight in the living room.

Pamela loves people and greets them with a wagging tale and is super friendly. She currently lives with her foster parents, a teenager, a male miniature pinscher and a cat. Initially Pam was very curious about the cat (always respectful) but after some correction, she quickly learned she needed to show less interest in the cat and they now coexist quite peacefully.

Pamela lived with a number of dogs in her foster home in Louisiana and has the patience of a saint with her spicy foster brother here in NJ. That being said, Pamela does need to be properly introduced to another dog on neutral territory during a walk. This is especially true with larger dogs or dogs her size. She seems much more tolerant of smaller dogs. Pam walks well on a leash after some initial excitement but would benefit greatly from some leash training as she is quite strong and pulls when first setting out on the walk.

Pamela loves tennis balls and squeaky toys (they don't last long!). She enjoys being out in the
backyard sunbathing and playing fetch. She is playful and up for any adventure, but can also relax
with her family and Netflix and chill. She is absolutely fine with: baths, nail trims, motorcycles, bikes, scooters, vacuum cleaners, thunderstorms, wearing accessories and posing for photos for Instagram. Pam is food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement (dog treats) and she politely waits for her meals and for her treats.

Pam is a loveable mush who is a joy to foster and is the easiest foster dog that we have had. Pam is quiet and doesn't bark except when the situation calls for it ie: a stranger comes to the door. Even then, it is never excessive barking.
She would do best in a home with a fenced yard and with owners with prior large/strong breed experience.

Pamela has been fixed and she is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She was being treated for heartworm in February and should be retested in February 2023. Her adoption fee is $400.
