Hal was an owner surrender in North Carolina because he was too friendly to people and he wouldn't hunt!  Sounds like a perfect dog to me...

Hal is about 1 year old and weighs about 45 lbs.  He's with our friends in North Carolina, but we'd love to get him to New Jersey to find his forever home.

Hal is somewhat shy with new people, and is learning to walk nicely on a leash, but he's a big goofball when he gets outside.  He is very submissive and playful, also.  Hal can be a little shy with new dogs at first but he'll get over that with time and confidence-building. You can see in his short video that he REALLY wants to say hi to the other dog:

Hal did well with his cat test - he was a little afraid.  See the video.

Hal is heartworm-negative, and will be neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccines when he comes to NJ.

Hal's adoption fee is $400.
