Hazel is a beautiful senior Chihuahua who is a Hurricane Ida survivor. Hazel was taken in by a rescue completely swamped with displaced dogs and then transferred to our friends at Precious Paw Prints Rescue before arriving in NJ on October 2nd.
Hazel has some discoloration on her skin and lingering inflammation from a lifetime of having fleas. The discoloration will likely never go away, but her skin is finally healing now that she is on flea&tick meds. Hazel has had multiple blood panels and physical exams done by vets in both LA and NJ to see how her health is, and luckily all her levels came back normal! Hazel has arthritis in her back legs which she is on pain medication for.
Hazel is sweet as can be, loves to cuddle, and LOVES treats. Her arthritis makes it hard for her to go on walks, but she loves to take rides in her doggy stroller and enjoy the breeze. We think Hazel would do best in a quiet home either with minimal steps or an owner who is physically capable of carrying her up and down steps as needed.
We believe Hazel to be fixed. She is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250.
