Hi, my name is Howie. I'm really hoping someone wants to come and meet me! I promise you will see how sweet and loving I am. I love being with people and would make a great companion. I don't love to be by myself but I am crate trained. I enjoy playing and running so I would love a home with other dogs or even kids who would like to play with me. I walk nicely on a leash so I hope you like to walk too. I know how to potty outside and I only bark when someone is trying to come into my home. I also know basic commands and my foster family is working on teaching me more. Please put in an application for me because I would really love to have a chance to meet you! 

Howie Blue is a very handsome Shepherd mix who is looking for a new home. He was adopted from Wag On Inn Rescue nearly 2 years ago as a small pup. His family decided they could no longer afford to feed him and insisted we take him immediately. He’s now in a loving foster home and doing very well. This handsome boy is sweet, friendly and a little clumsy.  

His foster says, “He’s a very friendly dog! He does very well with other dogs and cats. He plays with his toys and he’s learning to fetch and return the ball. He doesn’t bark unless to warn you someone is at the door. He’s a great boy who would love an active family. He loves when my grandbabies come over to play with him.”

Howie Blue is house broken and crate trained. He previously lived with 2 cats and did well. He’s fine tuning his manners and working on not jumping up in excitement and some leash pulling. However, but he is overall a very sweet boy and well behaved. Howie does best with older kids, 12+ based on his size and exuberance. He loves young kids but he can be overwhelming for them as he wants to be their bestie and forgets his is a big, strong boy.

Howie is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $400.
