Amelia is a beautiful girl who is looking for a new home.   She is about 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs.  Amelia was rescued by our friends at Lake Charles Pit Bull rescue prior to the deep freeze in Louisiana. She and her friends Fred and Doug were going to be euthanized -  simply because the shelter has outdoor kennels with no heat.  The shelter reached out to local rescues for their dogs before the temps dropped below freezing and these 3 dogs were moved into temporary boarding. 

Amelia is now in a loving NJ foster home. Amelia is described as very sweet, and she loves to give kisses!  She is playful and energetic, but once she's played, she is a lap dog!

Amelia is housetrained and doesn't mind her crate -- she goes into it willingly sometimes.

Doug, Amelia and Fred are heartworm negative and dog friendly. Amelia did well on her cat screening with no reaction to the cats nearby.  They will all be fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped before they leave Louisiana.  Their adoption fee is $400.
