Gaston is an approximately 1-2 year old lab/terrier mix.  He and his sibling Giselle were found running stray in Louisiana – we do not know for how long and what their early history was.  Both Gaston and Giselle arrived in NJ extremely timid; however, Gaston has become more confident, inquisitive, playful and energetic.  He is cautiously learning to walk on a leash. He has taken trips to the pet store, and while nervous, he is becoming more comfortable with outings.

Gaston has learned to sit and is treat motivated. He is now playing with stuffed toys, tennis balls and chew toys.  He is affectionate and a “hugger”.   He is crate trained for overnight and for meals. He is mostly house trained, although he still has some accidents. 

Gaston would do best in a home without young children (older responsible and considerate children should be okay).  He needs a loving, nurturing family who will continue to provide him with training and socialization.

Gaston is heartworm negative, neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.00.
