Abe is a handsome older gent looking for a new home.  Abe is 8-10 years old and he is good with other dogs. He is a well behaved sweet boy who would love to be your new companion. He does well with cats and doesn't seem to mind kids.

Abe has some health concerns including three (3) sizable growths that may be cancerous. The vet in Louisiana tried an aspiration and was not able to determine their cytology. He has been seen by our NJ vet and we are waiting on some test results to determine what type of growths these may be but we are very suspicious one or more may be cancerous.  Unfortunately these growths are inoperable. They do not seem to be causing him any pain and luckily for Abe, he has no idea he is sick. His bloodwork looks good and his heart and lungs sound good as well except for a slight murmur.  At this time we can't say how much longer Abe has with us but is active, happy and has a moderate amount of energy (not a couch potato!)  He  has been fixed and microchipped. He is also up to date on vaccines and  heartworm negative.  His adoption fee is donation only.
