HI! I am Janey, a 50-lb loving, energetic houndy/rottie mix looking for a new bestie. I am loyal, love to sit in my human’s lap like a weighted blanket, and some might even say I love my humans so much that I am Velcro. I am a smart girl who knows a bunch of commands, like sit, wait, stay, look at me. I’m willing to learn new ones as well, with positive reinforcement training.  While I am currently living with a dog that is about the same size as me, I prefer to be an only dog because let’s face it, I love my human and my food and I do not want to share any of that! I also tried the dog park a few times, but it's not for me.   Oh well.  I love to play with my stuffies and chew toys, especially the antlers and the whistle ball. I like to be busy, you see. I’m not interested in your furniture or anything, but if you leave that steak on the counter, you can be sure I call dibs. I still have plenty of puppy- mouthy- energy, so kids aren’t a great idea for my home.  I don’t like the crate, so it’d be great if my human was home a lot and maybe even worked from home. I have a LOT of love and kisses to give! I am great on a leash and would love to walk with you, maybe run and I would love a fenced in yard, with supervision of course. I do have energy to burn.  Are you my new best friend?

Janey would do best in a home with no other pets and an adopter who can dedicate time to her training so that she can be her best self. She is fixed, micro-chipped, and up to date on vaccines, flea, tick and heartworm medicines.  Janey is here in NJ and ready to meet her forever family.
