** Please note that we are accepting applications from Central NJ only since Will needs surgery from a local vet in July**
Will came to us from Louisiana. He is about 4 months old and looks like he has Dachshund and/or Basset Hound in him. Will weighs about 16 lbs now so we are guessing he will weigh slightly over 30 lbs full-grown.
Will has a cleft palate, which doesn't bother him in the least. He does everything a normal puppy can do - chewing on sticks, toys, and bones, eating well, playing, etc. He has visited our partner vet at Barnegat Animal Clinic, and they will do the surgery when his adult teeth come in, which is about 6 months of age. Wag On Inn will cover the cost of the surgery.
Will has suffered hair loss when in Louisiana, but it is coming in now - he'll have a beautiful coat soon!
Will and his sister Grace are in foster together (Grace has been adopted). They can be timid at first with new people. They do love to cuddle with the people they know. They are good with dogs, although initially they are hesitant, and probably would be good with cats since they're so young. They like to go for walks and explore the yard. They are not yet housetrained, but are good sleeping in bed with their foster family for the whole night. They are pretty gentle and aren't nippy with their puppy teeth.
Will has been neutered and microchipped, and is up-to-date with his vaccines. His cleft palate will be repaired in July.
Will's adoption fee is $400.
