Hi my name is Tank and I am a goofball with a big personality! I came from Louisiana where a nice rescue pulled me from a shelter. Everyone says I’m handsome and a good boy!

I’m about 2 years old and a little low rider, I have short legs and long body so they think I am a dachshund mixed with maybe some beagle, rottweiler (look at my handsome face) or hound--maybe some Basset (look at my feet)? I do like to jump up and say hi to my humans and stretch my body nice and long. I love to play with other dogs and really like being around them so my rescue friends would prefer I either have some doggie siblings around my size or larger, or opportunities to play with doggie friends. I like to be active and my favorite game is playing fetch inside and outside. During the day I like sniffing around the backyard, chasing squirrels and listening to all the new sounds. I like my walks and meeting people and I’m learning how to walk better on the leash. I do like to cuddle and take naps and be with my humans. Did I tell you I am a great tail wagger, give lots of kisses and I'm crate-trained?

I also like cats and kids but I’m not living with any right now so I will need to meet them all to be sure, and do best with older kids since I like to jump around and stuff and Im pretty strong for a little guy.

I’ve been to the vet and got all my shots and I am microchipped. I’m also heartworm negative, but like any dog, I should be tested yearly.
