Addie came to NJ after being rescued just after giving birth in a rural area in Louisiana. Sadly, she was living outside with a male companion and following heavy rains, she gave birth in a muddy field. A family contacted animal control and then a local rescue picked Addie and 4 pups up.
Addie's exact age is not certain but may be less than 2 years old, weighs about 40 pounds and seems to be a shepherd/terrier mix. According to her Lousiana FM, she was a fantastic mother. She was protective, nurturing and kept their living quarters clean. She learned to sit to get a treat and that palm out & up means to stop or stay, while she was with her Louisiana foster family.
Addie has been in NJ and has bonded to her foster family and is protective of their home. She likes knowing where all of her people are located. She is very smart, affectionate, and loves to play ball or run around outside. She will nudge up against you or bring you a toy if she wants to play with you. She accepts treats from a sitting position. She will respond to her name and enjoys riding in the car. She can be guarded meeting new people but warms up very quickly, especially if they wanted to play or show affection.
She has learned her foster family's routines and has not had any accidents in the house. She is comfortable on the couch or carpet but most importantly she loves to snuggle and be with her people. She walks on a leash and is very curious about everything around her. She is so loving and looking for her furever home! Her adoption fee is $400.
