Jack Sparrow came to us from an over-crowded shelter in NJ. He was found as a stray, wandering the streets. One of his eyes was no longer in its socket, most likely due to some kind of blow or trauma. The shelter sewed his eye closed and estimated that he is about 8 years old. Our vet believes that he is more likely over 11 years old. Jack's heart and lungs are healthy, according to our vet. His bloodwork and urinalysis are normal for an older dog. Jack weighs 6.5 lbs. Having only one eye is not an issue for him at all, and in addition to that, Jack is completely deaf. He manages to get around just fine, though!
Jack looks like a Yorkie, with really long legs! Some people think they see Chihuahua in him. He's adorable!
Jack is a very sweet boy who loves to cuddle. At night he asks to go way under the covers! He enjoys being with people, and likes children. Jack is living with several other dogs in his foster home and likes having the company, but I don't think he needs to live with another dog. Jack enjoys going for walks and for rides in the car.
Jack had a dental from our vet, and has a nice clean mouth now!
Jack's adoption fee is $200.
