Well Hi There. My name is Vanya and I've had quite a life so far. I was found on the streets of puerto rico where I was a street dog (Sato). A nice man took me to the vet clinic and three days later I had nine puppies. They were all very cute and healthy and they grew strong and found homes of their own here in New Jersey. The rescue friends I have didn't think it was fair to find homes for my puppies and leave me at the vet clinic in Puerto Rico, so they let me come to New Jersey too.

I made myself at home with my foster parents. I quickly gave my foster parents confidence, by my affectionate behavior and because of my quick response to voice inflections, they gave me the run of the house and I did not destroy anything - I'm getting the idea of housebreaking and I've learned quickly to use the doggie door and go outside when I need to. I was a little afraid of going upstairs at first but now i have my her own bed in the bedroom, and I have no problem spending the night with my foster people and following them around up and down the stairs.

I love to play and am learning how to fetch a ball. I do get rambunctious a couple of times a day and it’s hard for me to calm down – I just have so much energy. I go running on the beach early in the morning (I love that) but that’s not enough to really tire me out.

I'm quiet in the house and only do short barks to try to get Jolie, my doggie friend or one of my people to play with me.
