This handsome boy is being cared for by our shelter friends in NC.  He is approximately 18 months old.  Jager is a big boy at 111 lbs. He's a very happy boy, and is playful and friendly. He has stolen the hearts of everyone he meets!

This poor guy as been through a lot, and needs a loving home. He's had a  Femoral Head Osteotomy  (FHO) on one leg that was successful.  The vet attempted a cruciate repair on the other, but all ligaments were torn - both lateral and cranial and caudal cruciates. You can see that he doesn't use that leg fully in the video, but he can sure get around well!

He gets along well with the clinic dog, but has been known to try to chase the clinic cat.

Jasper has had 2 grand mal seizures in the past 6 months or more.  When he does, he seems to be out of it for about a day afterwards.  Once he even growled briefly (within the first 5 minutes) because he was very disoriented - he just needs to rest afterwards.  He is currently on Phenobarbitol only, but he had a seizure recently so they plan to increase the dosage or add potassium bromide.

Even after all these medical issues, sweet Jasper has been incredibly friendly.

The shelter staff believes that he was living indoors before he was surrendered to them.  He doesn't have any accidents when inside the animal hospital, so he is probably housetrained.

After all he's been through, Jasper truly deserves a loving home.
