Sam came to us from an over-crowded shelter in NC.  Sam looks like a Lab/Hound mix.  He's about 1 year old and weighs 43 lbs.

Sam loves to play with toys, and is good with other dogs.

Sam's foster dad says:
Sam is a wonderful, handsome dog.  He is a mix of a bunch of dogs which contribute to his great demeanor.  He has many lab traits, but he has webbed toes and picks up his front paw when he hears new noises.  He loves to play fetch for as long as you want and is a very quiet dog overall.  The only time he makes any noise is when he is separated from his people.  He  loves to be around and doesn't jump up on you or the furniture.  He is very much a puppy and likes to get into things and is enthusiastic about learning.  He walks nicely on a leash and wants to chase after small animals.  Much like any medium-sized puppy, he loves everyone but may not be great with very small children since he doesn't know his own strength.  Sam is an excellent house guest and will make for a really wonderful dog for anyone who wants a dog who can go anywhere with them.  He is travel ready and is happy indoors or out.  He is also a licker, faces, hands or whatever he can get to.  He is doing ok with his crate, but he could easily get the whole house once he is totally reliable.  He is also the first dog that I have ever seen actually chase his own tail at full speed for an extended period of time.

Sam's adoption fee is $350.
