Butternut came to us from NC, very pregnant.  She was found as a stray there and not claimed. Butternut is being fostered in NJ.  She is a friendly, sweet girl who looks like a Hound/Beagle/Rhodesian Ridgeback/ Vizsla? mix.  She's medium-sized at 40 lbs (very pregnant). She's estimated to be about 2-3 years old.

Butternut is a calm girl. She's getting along well with the dogs in her foster home. She's very loving to everyone! She has been at big gatherings (40 people) and is loving to everyone.  She doesn't even steal food from the counters!  She is quite the snuggler and cuddler, too.

Butternut is heartworm positive and will be treated by Wag On Inn; her adoptive family will have to keep her calm for 3-4 months during the treatment. During the treatment, Butternut's adoption would be considered to be a "foster-to-adopt".

Butternut had 10 puppies on January 13th! We currently have applications for all of them except Simba and Ariel, who are looking for their forever families. They will be able to go to their new homes after 3/16.

 

Butternut's adoption fee is $350.
