**************

Lily and Cody's family are facing serious health issues, and the family doesn't have time for them, so feel they'd be better placed in another home. Here's what their family said:

Both dogs have grown up with children in the house.  My kids are 6 and 4. They have hanged, tugged, scratched, played, stepped on, and roughhoused with both dogs.

Cody is a Cockapoo and will be 10 in August.  We got him in November 2007.  Don’t let his age fool you.  He is full of energy.  He usually gets cut with a Mohawk.  We swear he knows when he has it.  He has NEVER bitten or snapped.  He does however get excited when you feed him from the hand.  I tell him easy and he is fine.  He has a sock fetish, like many dogs!  We usually give them the marrow bones form the store and freeze them.  They eat the marrow and pretty much leave the bones.  There won’t be a bunch of little pieces around.  He can adapt to any person at any time with no warm-up whatsoever.  He doesn’t shed.

Lily is a mutt.  We adopted her in April of 2008.  We were told Boxer and Beagle mostly but never confirmed.  I swear she is part human.  Whatever she is, she’s great.  She does take a moment to warm up to people.  I tell anyone that comes over to come in and wait 5 minutes and just sit down and ignore Lily.  Usually after 3-4 minutes she is by their legs getting petted.  After that she is their best friend for life.  She also has NEVER bitten or snapped.  She will bark at someone she doesn’t know however.  She is the most loving dog ever.  She will literally sit by your legs for hours wanting to get pet or rubbed by your feet (her favorite).  She sheds.

Our goal would be to keep them together.  A fence is an absolute must.  We usually let them outside and play.  They tend to beat themselves up on a leash.  We will include a crate.  They were crate trained from the beginning.  We don’t use the crate currently however if we take the crate out, they go right in.  They will both snuggle in the large crate even if the smaller one is available. They like to snuggle on one dog bed - no need for two.

PS the pic of Cody with the green mohawk was a one-time deal.  Usually we just give him the mohawk, not dye it.
