Annie was a stray in a North Carolina neighborhood for eight months! A nice man took her into his home in the evenings, but during the day she was on her own... Her foster mom in NC told us that she is small (11 lbs), very sweet, and doing well with her housetraining. She has been a little shy in new situations (e.g., the vet), but warms up quickly. Her foster mom says that she is a lap dog.
She has arrived in NJ and is settling in nicely. She is living with other dogs and is doing well with them, and after a week, is now playing with them. It takes her a little while to feel comfortable, but she definitely does like having doggie company. Annie can take treats nicely with everyone else (see the photo).
She follows her foster parents around everywhere, and is not happy when they leave! Annie does indeed like laps, once she gets to know you. Therefore, we'd love for her to go to a home where people are around much of the time, with a doggie companion to keep her company when her humans aren't around.
Annie is walking nicely on a leash, and has taken several neighborhood walks and long walks on the beach so far.
Annie loves to snuggle (even under the covers!) in bed with her family.
Annie is doing very well with her housetraining.
Annie's adoption fee is $350.
