Peluche came to us from Puerto Rico, where he was rescued from a very unpleasant hoarding situation.  Before he was rescued, he was tied on a short rope and left out in the sun for so long that his nose was sunburned badly.  (His hair might never grow back in that area, but he looks very cute with his black nose). When he came to the rescue in Puerto Rico, he was a very frightened little boy, but he blossomed quickly!

By the time he arrived in NJ, Peluche had turned into an outgoing social butterfly who loves to sit in laps.  He is pretty active, and enjoys running around the yard exploring.  He likes to go for walks, and enjoys saying hello to the neighbors, including all the kids.

Peluche is good with the other dogs in his foster home, big and small.  He is now playing with them and having a great time tugging and rolling around and chasing.  Peluche is chasing the ball, too - he doesn't always bring it back, but it's a fun game.

He is crate-trained and is housetrained.

Peluche would make a great companion for any family.  He is a little snuggle-bunny who only wants laps and kisses.  You can see in the last photo how he prefers to sleep at night!
