Hello! My name is Helen and my foster mom says that I am a lovely lady. Just like most lovely ladies, we do not always tell our age. I am not too young and not too old. I will tell you my weight, though, seven pounds—so I am pretty petite! I had a rough time before meeting my foster mom. I was brought to a pound and waited, and waited for my family to come back. They never did and that made me very sad. It seems that even though I am gentle and very sweet, they just did not want me anymore. Strange…why would anyone toss out an affectionate young lady like I who simply wants to curl up by your side and breathe a gentle sigh of contentment when I am with you? I know how to show you that I am grateful for your attention. I love to go outdoors and explore the new yard in my foster home and frolic in the grass. I was so sad and neglected before, and now…I am learning that life can begin again and that there is hope eternal. My teeth are bothering me but I do not complain. My foster mom says that they are getting me to a doggie dentist to fix my teeth. I do not see well at all but I do get around and love to explore. Sometimes I bump into things and then learn how to get around better. Pretty smart gal, for someone who was neglected. Despite my beautiful dark gray fur being all matted and being abandoned by my family, I know that there is a person or family out there that will love me and want to take care of me. I know how to use a wee wee pad and can enjoy your company without bothering you too much. I will snuggle up, give you kisses, and make you see how rewarding it is to give a second chance to a girl like me!
