Volunteer of the Month - Jan

To start out the year, our first Volunteer of the month is "Linda". She does the follow ups with our adopters to see how things are going. Helps with answering questions and also helps with our outreaches. Linda does this along with working full time, and taking care of her own dog.

Volunteer of the Month - Feb

Our next volunteer is "Stephanie". She fosters when she can, and recently saved a puppies life, noticing it was sick and getting it to the vet in a timely manner. Stephanie also has been researching fundraising ideas. She never stops thinking about how she can help the animals more.

Volunteer of the Month - March

March brings us to "Debbie E.". Debbie has helped us with our not-for-profit paperwork when nobody else would take on the challenge. She also volunteers as "doggie day care" when someone fosters puppies, but work all day. Debbie works tirelessly to help where she can. We couldn't have done it without her.

Volunteer of the Month - April

April brings us another "Debbie". Debbie  G. was on a mission to find foster homes to help care for puppies coming from a high kill shelter in Tennessee. With her recruiting help as well as fostering, we could help seven more little lives, then we could have without her help. That is just in March alone. She and her family are always willing to help the little ones in need and is a big help.

Volunteer of the Month - May

May brings us another special volunteer. Dr. Feddersen is a veterinarian who truely cares about her charges. She fosters some of the pups in need of a extra medical attention. She works with her foster pups on all areas, medical, emotional and social. She and her husband are a special family that help those that wouldn't have a chance at life without her. It's with a big dept of gratitude, we name Dr. Federson our volunteer of the month for May.

Volunteer of the Month - June

June brings a man to the table. Our volunteer of the month for June is "Mark". He helps foster, and supports his wife, Stephanie, in her rescue efforts. He lives with two rescue dogs. Besides helping Wag On Inn, they are also defenders of the feral cats in their community.

Volunteer of the Month - July

July's Volunteer of the month is a recent newcomer, "Cindy". Never having a dog herself, she decided along with her family, to try fostering. Their first fosters were two Saint Bernard pups. Talk about jumping in hook, line and sinker! They are now hooked and not only are they fostering again, but have also talked to friends and got others to try their hand at this truely life saving volunteer activity. This loving family is a most welcome addition to the Wag On Inn Rescue family.

Volunteer of the Month - August

Lia B., our youngest volunteer of the month, has a huge heart for a little girl. Her motto is "we need more puppies to foster", and she means it.  Lia and her family have become regular puppy fosters, and do a terrific job.  Lia and her brothers make sure the puppies get lots of play time, training, and of course love (Lia's parents help some too!) .  While it's hard to send the foster pups off to their new forever families, Lia knows that there are more puppies to rescue down the road.  The fostering experience teaches Lia's whole family about demonstrating  compassion, responsibility, and selflessness.  What a great addition to the WOI team!

Volunteer of the Month - October

With all the puppies we have been helping, some of the paperwork has fallen through the cracks. We are now in November but wanted to give special recognition to the Volunteer of the Month for October that didn't get posted until now. This volunteer of the month is a young man not even in high school yet, but responsible and caring and dedicated to the charges he takes into his home. The volunteer of the Month for October is "Wyatt". Not only does he play and socialize with "his" puppies until they go home, but he watches over the other puppies while they are being unloaded from the van. He canvases the area to be sure children are not standing up holding the puppies, but sitting so they don't drop them. Wyatt also helps with "poop patrol" during the puppies stay  and is an asset to our rescue organization. Wyatt, here's a big Thank you to you for all the help you offer with the puppies. A true advocate for the animals.

Volunteer of the Month - November

With November pups can an outbreak of an intestinal virus. Luckily with the help of Dr. Feddersen and all the Sea Girt Animal Hospital staff, we didn't lose anyone! For the Month of November, our thanks and sincere gratitude goes out to "Connie". Connie not only fosters pups for Wag On Inn, she also recruits help for even more fosters. Connie went above and beyond when she took home a couple of the sick pups that needed supportive care and watched over them while they mended. Fostering healthy pups can be fun, but it takes a special person to take on the sick ones. Connie, we can never thank you enough for stepping up to the plate, and with your training and skill, help the babies get well!
