Momma Mia needs your help!
While down in Puerto Rico, one of the dogs rescued was Momma Mia. She was found VERY pregnant and living in the street. Two drunk guys begged us to find her a good home as she's been there for a long time and had puppies before. When we got her "home" it seemed like she was already in labor. When her puppies weren't born by the following day, we took her to the emergency room where she needed to have a C-Section. Because there was only one vet on duty, she had to wait until the next morning for her surgery. The puppies didn't make it but she did. This two or three year old beauty is stong and pulled through her surgery despite the fact that she was a poor candidate as she also has heartworm. Today we found out that she has a tumor that will need chemo to cure it. The trooper that she is, she behaved very well as the vet gave her the first of five treatments. Please help us help this girl who's been down on her luck so she can get well, fly to New Jersey and finally find a real home of her own. To help click the paypal button below. Add a note that it is for the "Momma Mia Fund".

Rescued animals
Rescued animals live in foster homes. Before being adopted out, they are updated on shots, heartworm tested(dogs over six months), spayed/neutered and wormed(if needed). They are also treated with front line. Some are microchipped. Most are examined by a vet. The animals are evaluated to see what type of a home they would do best in, based on energy level, temperment, and training needed. Then we try to match them to the best possible home, that we feel would be appropriate for each companion. If for any reason, an adoption does not work out, or the adopter can no longer care for their companion, Wag On Inn requests that you return the animal to us for evaluation/rehoming no matter how long the adopted companion has been living with you. We are urgently looking for foster homes in monmouth county to help care for more animals, puppies as well as adults. We supply all the material things you will need to care for the animal, you supply the love and the care. If you are interested in fostering, please look under website features, and then click on forms/applications and fill out a "foster volunteer" application. Thank you for wanting to help the animals.
