You dont like cats? I dont either, and I like to root out vermin as well! My name is Bettie and I am two years old. Im not really sure of my ancestry, but I think I have beagle and bulldoog bloodlines. However, I am a bit portly and not a true hunting dog. No harm in pretending though (especially if you have cats!). I really love to be petted by children and play with other dogs. I am playful and silly but also low key. I love leisurely walks and I wont pull you around, even if I spot a squirrel or a crow flying above; though to warn you, I may stubbornly stop and sit to watch. I dont mean to brag, but I am really a quite lovely dog. I PROMISE I will LOVE you and I wont poop or pee in your house! I have been spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. Please consider letting me into your heart and home. I will be your best friend for as long as I live! I have had a rough life. I somehow ended up in a high kill shelter in Georgia with my babies. While I was there they found out that I had heartworm. Our chances for survival were grim. Unfortunately, my babies died there while we were awaiting rescue. Some very kind people took care of me and did try to save my pups. After treatment, they sent me to New York I was fortunate to become a quasi-surrogate mom to my new best friends puppiesI help look after them and teach them social skills. They sure are growing up quick! Because I dont like cats, and my foster home has many, I am isolated a good part of the day. It makes me very sad, bored, and frustratedsighbut I am very patient. If you dont like cats either, please adopt me, you wont regret it! Love, Bettie. Bettie is a beagle/bulldog mix about 50lbs and approx. 2 years old. She is good with most dogs and friendly with people. She is housebroken, good on a leash, spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dogs as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
